Tuesday: morning hike up Silly Mountain with 11 kids and 3 moms!

...afternoon - Desert Botanical Gardens to see the butterflies. The gardens are free every second Tuesday of the month from 1pm-8pm and the butterflies are here through mid-May. Kids were pretty tired by the end of this day. The butterflies are very neat to see. Christoher did not want to go out.
With their eyes closed these two caterpillars look like they are ready to go into cocoons and become butterflies.
Wednesday: cooking class! All the kids came. Vanessa was scribe writing down the recipe as my friend and her sister taught me how to make red chili enchilada sauce from scratch. Hunter played with the kids and fried some tortillas.
Thursday: Sunsplash! The Golfland slides were open with heated water.
Friday: Drop Vanessa off for a Young Women overnighter. They went to a cabin in the Christopher Creek area and did some cave exploring. For the younger kids, Tumbleweed Playtopia Park on McQueen and Germann.
Saturday: Paul and Tammy summited Superstition Mountain through Hieroglyphic Canyon. It was a 5 hour hike. There was a storm blowing in. You can see how windy it is if you look at my hair. Maybe 50mph gusts. It has been raining all day Sunday.

The view behind Superstition Mountain. There was snow up here the next day from the storm.

Saturday evening we went to Paul's parents, visited with them and ate corned beef and cabbage. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
