Here we go! Down South Kaibab.

If you look close you can see a mule train in the middle of the pic. That is the same trail we are going down. We will pass the mules in a few more turns. Or rather we will stand as far to the side squished into the rocks as we can while they pass us.
Here they come. Get out of the way quick.

At the tunnel. It took a long time to get down: 5 hours 30 min - a far cry from the 3 hours I did last year. But we had backpacks on this time and we paced ourselves knowing we had several days ahead of us. My backpack weighed 28 pounds that day.
The cabin we stayed in the first night.
