We took a side trip to Ribbon Falls on the way back to Phantom Ranch. It was beautiful.
We opted to cross Bright Angel Creek instead of backtracking back to the bridge. It came just past our knees. Again, luckily we all made it without anyone going it. Definitely a feat with our backpacks.
Made it back to Phantom Ranch
That night after a very filling steak dinner in the lodge we went a little ways up Clear Creek Trail. You can see down onto Phantom Ranch and even get a glimpse of the Colorado and the boat beach on the right and on the upper left the zig zags are South Kaibab trail we went down days ago.
Those dark green splotches in the middle of the trees are the cabins at Phantom Ranch.
