Fall Break 2009

This year was our 2nd annual Rocky Point camping on the beach trip. Several families in our ward have been going for years. We finally joined them last year and loved it so we repeated it this year. This year adults had to have passports or passport cards to return to the US. Children under 16 could still use a birth certificate. This along with violence and swine flu kept away some, but we still had about 14 families there compared to 22 or so last year.

Vanessa flying a kite on the beach

Hunter got to sleep in the back of a friend's truck one of the nights. She is on the far right.

Vanessa buried in the sand

For some reason this was Christopher's favorite position. We were still cleaning sand out of his hair a week later.

Afternoon football game - Paul on the left wearing hat

Vanessa 2nd from right jumping off banana boat after ride. Hunter behind her in the orange life jacket.

Hunter's sand castle

Home sweet home - watching a movie on the laptop while eating

Leaving

The bathrooms/showers and coin laundry were in this building

Saying goodbye to the ocean and beach

You can tell this is the end of the trip not the beginning by how dirty their clothes are, haha! You can tell I did not use the coin laundry the whole time. Come to think of it they just had put these clothes on clean that morning while we were packing up.

Taking out the hair braids after wearing them to school a few days
